MANILA, Philippines –  For many Filipino kids, Christmas means waking up early on the 25th, dressing up in our best pamasko outfit, and visiting our godparents.

Growing up, our Christmas wasn't complete without paying respects to our ninong and ninang– some of which we get to see only once a year – and, most importantly, getting a nice present from them.

Now that we're adults, instead of waiting excitedly for gifts, we’re tasked to make our own gift lists for our inaanaks.

What kind of ninong or ninang are you? Are you the type who gets the coolest toys? Do you prefer gifting books or other sensible items? Or do you usually prefer to hide from your kumares and kumpares when they come knocking at your door with the kids in tow?
