MANILA, Philippines — In the age of blogging and selfies, there are a countless number of smartphones in the market to choose from. But when it comes to the young professional or the passionate lifestyle enthusiast, a simple 5 megapixel camera with basic wifi capabilities just doesn’t cut it anymore. The bustling digital native is looking for a smartphone that can keep up with his or her colourful lifestyle. (Read: Samsung makes new additions to the Galaxy series). Something with an awesome camera, a fast-charging battery, a speedy processor, and premium design (Read: Anatomy of the ultimate mobile companion).
At the forefront of the mobile scene is the latest of the Samsung Galaxy S series: The Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge. In order to see if the newest line of this series meet the demands of tech-savvy, perpetually-documenting digital natives, we at Rappler took the smartphones out for a test drive.
To distinguish this little experiment from just any regular review that will give you the stats and numbers, we decided to test its performance on a practical, lifestyle-based scenario. So we asked ourselves: What do all young professionals and lifestyle enthusiasts have in common? A penchant for food and awesome food photos. Armed with a Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, the Rappler team set forth on a food trip to simulate and explore a day in the life of a foodie.
We started the day with a fully charged phone using the Samsung wireless charger, and documented all our food and activities, including videos and edits, with the Galaxy S6 smartphones. Let the graphic narrative speak for itself.
